ROK Cup Romania 2024 - Season Preview

13-03-2024

2024 continues the ROK Cup Romania story within the Karting Masters format, the seventh consecutive season bringing a series of innovations in line with our sporting values.

We are at the beginning of a season with many novelties, as we continue our mission to organize competitions in which the equality of the technical material, fairness and fair play are essential values. The deciding day of each event will continue to be broadcast live.

The foundation of this championship is represented by the equality of chances thanks to the sustainable partnership with the manufacturer Vortex and the variety of Romanian circuits. Thus, the internal competition will be open to categories with ROK engines - Micro, Mini, Junior and Senior - whose winners will participate for free in the ROK World Final that will take place at Lonato (Italy) in October 2024. Moreover, in the categories that will have more than 20 entries, there will be a second ticket to participate in the World Finals, and participation in the Romanian ROK Cup season is the selection basis for wildcards at the prestigious event in Lonato.

In 2024, the organizers take another important step to ensure the primacy of the sporting factor, ensuring the supply of engines for the entire Micro ROK and Mini ROK categories, at an affordable rate (1250 lei / 250 Euros).

This decision will technically balance the competition by prioritizing the quality of the participants' driving skills. Another big gain will be the significant decrease in the costs of practicing this sport. For all ROK categories, there will be a single registration fee of 800 lei / 160 Euros.

Registration will open on March 15. For the categories with technical material provided by the organizers, places will be limited as follows:
• Micro ROK: 26 pilots
• Mini ROK: 34 pilots

The season calendar schedules six stages under the auspices of the Romanian Karting Federation, visiting all currently approved circuits:
• Prejmer Raceway (April 13-14)
• Prejmer Raceway (May 11-12)
• Târgu Secuiesc (June 22-23)
• Bucharest (August 3-4)
• Bacau (August 31-September 1)
• Bucharest (September 21-22)

Each stage will retain the format from the previous season, with four final races that contribute to the annual standings. All six stages are counted in the final standings of the season.
