The penultimate round of the season took place in Târgu Secuiesc, surpassing the quota of 100 participants this year. In the most populated category, Mini ROK, Gergo Buzas (CSSK)'s lead became insurmountable, thus being crowned the first champion of 2025 in Romanian Karting.
The four Micro ROK heats had different winners, but when the points were added up, the two title contenders remained on top, Dragoș Ciuleanu (7Motorsport) managing to prevail by only four points over Adam Diaconu (BRT). Diaconu now leads Ciuleanu by 9 points before the decisive round in Bucharest. The other two race wins at Târgu Secuiesc went to Andrei Ștefan Rebenciuc (BRT) and Tudor Stamatoiu (Drinago Racing).
Gergo Buzas (CSSK) was successful again in the Mini ROK category and on the second visit of the championship to the Skat Kart track, he claimed enough points to win the round and, more importantly, to secure the championship title. Andreas Drugău (Gulstar Racing) was his closest rival, managing a heat victory, as was Darren Betea (7Motorsport). Both are now closing in on Radu Băsescu-Pricop’s (Real Racing). The fight for second place in the championship promises to be particularly tight in September.
Robert Pulbere (Gulstar Racing) dominated the Junior ROK category with disarming ease and maintains a mathematical chance for the title, despite his absence at the beginning of the campaign. However, the leader Călin Costea (Gulstar Racing) finished second in this round and limited the losses, remaining a large favorite thanks to the 67-point lead he will take to AMC Kart. Just like in the last stage, bronze went to Rareș Constantin Fiscutean (Drinago Racing).
Alexandru Zănescu (JMS Performance) could only see the glass half full at the beginning of the weekend, realizing the chance he would have in the absence of the Senior ROK leader, Mihnea Lorent (Real Racing). However, the threat came from another side, because once again we had drivers who could top Zanescu: Eric Bălan (Formula K RO) and Mircea-Marco Pătru (SIbiu Racing Team). And if Pătru was not a danger in the general classification, as this was his first appearance, the same cannot be said about Bălan, who won three races and is now only 17 points behind Zănescu - a deficit that can realistically be recovered in the season finale.
