ROK CUP 2022, SEASON PREVIEW

2021 season has just ended and we are already working for 2022. The race calendar and all the details are still to be defined but we can reveal that 2022 will be rich in events.

Let’s start with the first news, a great race event is planned for the end of February on Lonato circuit. All drivers of all Rok categories will have the possibility to go down to the track and warm up the engines after the long Winter break.

As always there is the Rok Cup Italia: a championship composed by 8 races taking place on amazing circuits such as Lonato, Adria, Jesolo, Cremona, Franciacorta, Castelletto.

All rok categories will compete in the Rok Cup Italia: Mini Rok, Junior Rok, Senior Rok, Expert Rok, Super Rok and Shifter Rok. 

It is confermed the minimal participation to at least 5 races for being considered in the championship final ranking, which will take into consideration the 5 best results.

As soon as the race calendar will be ready we will inform you about dates and tracks.

 Also the prizes are remarkable: besides the usual prizes for the winners of each race, some additional prizes will be assigned in each category at each race according to a designated ranking: 

 - 3 sets LeVanto tyres and 12lt ENI KART 2T Racing Oil to the 1st classified  

- 2 sets LeVanto tyres to the 2nd classified  

- 1 set LeVanto tyres to the 3rd classified

As always the Rok Cup Italia winners besides gaining the Championship title will also win the qualification to the Rok Cup Superfinal, which means reserved place, entry free of charge, tyres for the race (from qualifying to finals) free of charge, two overnight stayings offered by the Promoter only for the driver and some lunch tickets to be used at the track during the event. 

Moreover, in 2022 there will be two great events involving the Rokkers from all around Europe and the World: the Rok Cup Euro and the Rok Cup Superfinal.

The Rok Cup Euro, appreciated in 2021, will take place in 2022 too: the second edition is planned for 16-17 July at Kart Arena in Cheb, Czech Republic.

The Rok Cup Superfinal is always the most important and awaited event and will take place as tradition in Lonato, South Garda Karting, in October. It is confirmed the  admission requirement for drivers with Italian license: it is requested the participation in at least 5 races of the Rok Cup Italia in order to register for the Rok Cup Superfinal 2022. All the details will be announced soon. 

The regulations will not change overall, there will be just some updates but the rules stability characterizing the Rok Cup Championship will be respected.

For the Mini Rok class, considering the great success in 2021, it is confirmed, occasion of the ROK CUP Italia races, the concept that allowes a limited number of mini Rokker, 34, with allocation of engines by drawing lots by the Promoter.

The engines will be supplied, for each race meeting, by Vortex organization. The drivers will compete in each race with their own chassis and from the beggining of the ufficial free – practices, they will use engine provided by Vortex.

Also the Rok Talk show is confirmed for 2022 season.

The Rok Talk show is the fixed appointment after each round of ROK competitions and hosted by Mara Sangiorgio of Sky Sport F1.

This initiative has been appreciated by the Rokkers therefore it will be proposed again after each Rok Cup Italia round.
